Description

Sugarcube villas are located at 300 meters from a beach of calm waters, 3 km away from the Troia golf golf course and 5 km away from the Tróia marina and the casino. This property is located just beside the Sado Estuary Natural reserve and the Atlantic Ocean. These are three beach villas with private pool and yard, only 2 minutes walk from the beach (200m) and 10 minutes driving from Comporta.

Sugarcube villas consists of a set of three houses with separate entrances, which share the same outer area.

Its building concept has been based on a spirit of holidays that highlights important aspects of quality of life such as: nature, ocean and sun orientation. Sugarcubes villas has been nominated for the ‘Archdaily Building of the Year 2016 Award’.
About an hour from Lisbon, in Setúbal, you simply take the ferry across the river Sado to get to the resort of Troia. On this bank, you’ll find one of the most extensive beaches in Portugal, 50km long, which you can claim for yourself.

On the golden sands that extend to the horizon, with the clear waters of the sea on one side and the pine forest on the other, you can have fun with the whole family and, weather permitting, even enjoy some water sports. It’s very common to see dolphins at this point where the river Sado meets the sea, and taking a boat ride with time to observe them is always a good idea. Or go bird watching in the Serra da Arrábida Natural Park or the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve, where there’s no lack of interesting species. Not far away is Carrasqueira, a very traditional fishing port built on stilts.

The Troia Golf course, designed by the famous American architect Bobby Jones, is truly integrated into the landscape, and great for the experience of a real golfing challenge. It is on the list of the best golf courses in Europe and is part of some international competitions.
